In our day to day lives, we all leave an impression on our environment. As we learn more about climate change and global warming, we see opportunities each of us can take to reduce our “carbon footprint”. 

10 easy way to reduce your carbon footprint in Thailand by Miss Kulpariya Tansiri, the first winner of the Climate Change Poster Competition. The poster competition was recently held by British Embassy and co-sponsors by British Council, British Airways and Central Retails Corporation Ltd.  Kulpariya is now studying at Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn  University.

  • Plant a Tree to suck up 900 kg of CO2 per year
  • Insulate Your Home save 500-900 kg of CO2 per year 
  • Carpool saves fuel also save 580 kg of CO2 per year
  • Less packaging reduce your garbage and save 545 kg of CO2 per year 
  • Unplug Un-Used Electronics save over 450 kg of CO2 per year
  • Reduce Garbage save 450 kg of CO2 per year  
     
  • Take Shorter Showers to save 160 kg of CO2 per year
     
  • Turn off Computer save 90 kg of CO2 instead of a screensaver 
  • Chang the AC Filter and save 80 kg of CO2 per year
