Thailand's role at the London Summit
Thailand's Prime Minister will present ASEAN's views on tackling the current economic crisis during discussions at the London Summit. He will:
- Underline the importance of all countries to take action to restore economic confidence across the world.
- Renounce protectionism.
- Encourage countries to conclude the Doha trade round as soon as possible.
- Call for reform of the International Financial Institutions.
- Call for special measures to protect developing countries.
- Urge the global community to co-ordinate their stimulus packages.
