HM Queen Elizabeth II sends message to HM The King (05/10/2009)
His Royal Highness The Duke of York, arrived in Thailand on 6 October for a 4-day official visit to Thailand as a guest of His Majesty The King. Upon arrival he proceeded directly to Siriraj Hospital to present a personal message from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II [PDF, 223KB, new window] to HM The King. The message and an accompanying vase of flowers were received on His Majesty's behalf by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn.
The Queen's message reads:
"I was concerned to hear of your recent ill health and I send you my very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery."
His Royal Highness The Duke of York also signed the get-well book for His Majesty The King at the hospital.
